Baby Toys

We tested baby stuffed animals for softness, safe details, and washability. Hazel is our top pick, with a neutral fox and an interactive elephant close behind.

The best baby rattles for grip, teething and easy cleaning, with the shapes that work at three months and the ones to save until six.

We tested activity gyms and cushioned foam mats to find the play mats that make tummy time easier, wipe clean fast, and last past the newborn stage.

We tested crib mobiles on volume control, run time, and fit to find the ones worth hanging over a crib, plus a battery-free option.

We tested baby gyms from Fisher-Price, Lovevery, Tiny Love and more to find the ones worth the floor space, from newborn contrast to toddler play.

We tested six baby activity centers to find the ones that keep a baby happily contained now and still earn their floor space a year later.
