Can we all just agree that dads are hard to buy for? Unless your dad or husband has a hobby they’re really passionate about, it can be a challenge to find something thoughtful that they will actually love.
AND even if they do have a hobby they love, how long can you milk it before you’ve bought them all the things they need for it between their birthday, Christmas and Father’s Day?
My husband is a beer snob enthusiast. There’s only so many times I can buy him Beer of the Month Club before the whole year is covered.
If your husband, partner or father is the same way, I’ve pulled together a few last-minute ideas for Father’s Day that he should enjoy. There’s a little something for everyone on this list so hopefully you can find something to make shopping for Father’s Day a little easier.
Bluetooth Outdoor Rock Speakers
We are renovating our barn and on the side of it is a very large patio that we will spend a lot of time on soon. These speakers would be a great addition since they blend in with the other natural elements. My husband and I often debate how things that are functional can also be pretty. I believe this. He doesn’t see the need. This might be a present for both of us. But, music is always good when you’re cooking on the grill, entertaining or even just watching the kids play in the yard. Find them here on Amazon.
P.S. Unfortunately, they won’t arrive for a while so you might have to give him a photo. The current projection is July. I think they’ll be worth the wait.
Complete Wet Shave Kit
If your dad or man is still rocking the bread trend (that I swear is over but some guys -like my husband – just don’t seem to get the message) then this is for him. It’s a complete Wet Shave Kit with 1 Hawk Razor, 1 Pure 100% Badger Hair Brush, 1 Organic Honey Oatmeal Shave Bar, 5 premium men’s razor blades and a razor stand. Grab the whole kit.
Cards Against Adulting
From the makers of Cards Against Humanity, I give you Cards Against Adulting. IT gets rave reviews on Amazon and anything that can make dads laugh is worth it. Just maybe wait until the kids are in bed to play this game. Get it here.
Father & child graphic tees
Who says moms are the only ones that can match with their kids? These adorable graphic Papa Bear and Bear Cub T-shirts are at Target right now. You can get them here. Maybe you can use their pick up system and get these without even getting out of the car too. Dad’s shirt is just $8 and the kids’ shirt is $6. They’re a steal.
Best Dad – The Man, The Myth, The Legend
Moms aren’t the only ones who live off caffeine. My husband – who didn’t drink coffee at all before kids – now drinks three cups a day. We have a thing with coffee cups in this house and this Best Dad, The Man, The Myth, The Legend steel coffee cup will fit right in.
Dragon Glassware Diamond Whisky Glasses
If your favorite guy likes a good glass of whisky (and all of them seem to as they age), these tumblers designed for Whisky, Bourbon and Scotch get high marks. This diamond shape glass allows the drink to continue to aerate as it sits in the glass. Plus, you get a set of 12 and it says they’re anti-spill proof. Maybe someone needs to design some for toddlers too?
Under Armor Unisex Undeniable
This Under Armor ergonomically designed backpack is perfect for the gym rat, adult sports league guy or city commuter in your life. It says it’s water repellent and has foam reinforced panels on the sides to protect all of your favorite things on the inside.
Venture Pal Lightweight Backpack
Since we’re on the subject of back packs, this Venture Pal Lightweight Packable Durable Travel Hiking Backpack (longest name ever) is the one to get if the dad in your life loves to hike. It has more than 5,000 reviews on Amazon and comes in a variety of colors. It’s tear and water resistant and “the lightest weight possible.” It also boosts multiple compartments, reinforced bottom and breathable should straps.
Starlight Mountain Hammock
Let dad take a load off with this portable and lightweight hammock. Designed for the hiker and camper this Starlight Mountain Outfitters Single/Double Hammock will help him relax and take in the sites and sounds of nature. It can easily fit in the backpack above and is a must after a long day of exploring the great outdoors.
Vans for J.Crew washed canvas authentic sneakers
These shoes at J. Crew are just pretty. They’re man pretty. Your man will look pretty in them. My husband often needs a reminder that he should put on shoes that are not water-proof work boots. These are perfect for a date night or a family day. They’re also nice enough that he could wear them to work if they have a casual dress code and still look put together. These are nice too if your favorite guy doesn’t love laces.
Traeger Grills TFB57PZBO Pro Series 22 Pellet Grill and Smoker
My husband keeps talking about how he wants to make a smoker out of an old grill. He’s been saying that for years. With a big new, patio, maybe I just buy him one instead? This one gets great reviews and can smoke, braise, roast, grill and barbecue. He deserves something that does it all. Find it here.
Bissell Wet Dry Car Vacuum
If your dad or spouse is crazy about their car and keeping it clean (I know these guys are out there) this one will be a hit. This Bissell Garage Pro Wall-Mounted Wet Dry Car Vacuum/Blower with Auto Tool Kit, 18P03 will help clean up any kid messes in a flash.
Drawer Garage & Tool Organizer
Maybe dad isn’t crazy about his car, but IS crazy about his garage. The Keter 240762 5 Drawer Modular Garage & Tool Organizer will help him keep it all neat and tidy – and ideally out of the house.
